Carboxymethyl Cellulose
Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) appears as a white or slightly yellow powder, odorless and tasteless, with strong hygroscopicity. When used in a body, it enhances the cohesion and plasticity of the slurry, improves the strength of the body, and reduces cracking and breakage during forming and drying. In glazes, it acts as a thickener and stabilizer, enhancing the adhesion between the glaze and the body, improving the glazing effect, and resulting in a smoother and more uniform glaze surface.
