Dolomite is a natural carbonate mineral that appears white or light gray. It is primarily used in the ceramic and glass industries. In the ceramic industry, dolomite serves as a flux, reducing the firing temperature of the body and decreasing fuel consumption. In the glass industry, it enhances the chemical stability, mechanical strength, and thermal shock resistance of glass.
