Electrically Fused Zirconia

① Application in Ceramic Glazes and Colors: Fused zirconia is a key raw material in ceramic glazes and colors, used in the preparation of zirconium-based pigments (such as vanadium-zirconium yellow and zirconium-iron red). Its chemical inertness enhances the acid and alkali resistance as well as high-temperature stability of glazes. Adding zirconia to glazes improves crack resistance and whiteness, making it particularly suitable for the production of high-white polished tiles and sanitary ceramics. ② Refractory Materials: Fused zirconia is commonly used in the manufacture of refractory bricks, sizing nozzles, continuous casting materials, etc., and is applicable in high-temperature industries such as glass and steel. Its dense structure enhances the erosion resistance of refractory materials and extends their service life. ③ It can also act as an opacifier to improve the texture of glazed surfaces.
