Sodium Silicate Pentahydrate

Sodium Silicate Pentahydrate (Na₂SiO₃·5H₂O) appears as white crystalline granules or powder. It is used in the production of ceramics, glass, glazes, and ceramic bodies. Acting as an efficient deflocculant, it enhances fluidity in slurries. It also functions as a flux to strengthen materials, saving energy and reducing consumption. As a suspension stabilizer in glazes, it improves application uniformity. When used as a body enhancer, it increases the mechanical strength of green bodies and reduces processing breakage rates.
