Wollastonite
Wollastonite (CaSiO3) is a natural calcium silicate mineral with a needle like structure, low thermal expansion, high whiteness, and good chemical stability. In chemical applications, it is an important industrial mineral raw material: used as a flux in ceramic materials, it significantly reduces the firing temperature of the green body, improves the strength of the green body and the quality of the glaze surface. Utilizing its high melting point (about 1540 ℃) and thermal stability in refractory materials, high-performance refractory bricks and castables are produced as raw materials for high-temperature kiln lining.
